Celebrating National Forest Products Week
Is it possible to love paper and trees at the same time? Sometimes it may seem like these two don’t go hand in hand. After all, paper kills trees doesn’t it? There are a lot of misconceptions out there about paper use and its impact on the environment. But the truth is that forests are renewable – they can be maintained by planting new growth, and for the past 50 consecutive years, more trees have been planted than harvested in U.S. forests.
October 18th to 24th is National Forest Products Week! To celebrate our love of trees and all the products that are made from them, we are sharing posts from different sources that not only show the value of forest products in our daily lives, but also debunk the myths that surround the impact these products have on the environment. Here at Paris we are proud to be a part of the efforts being made to preserve forests through responsible forest management. This commitment to improving the environment reflects in our products, our operations, and our partnerships.
